Do not Become Distracted

We make plans. We always have something to do and somewhere to go. Jehovah wants us to be merry. (Ecclesiastes 8:15 ) Yet, Jehovah doesn’t want us to become sidetracked and miss out and the day come upon us.
I was very shocked when I discovered the number of humans on board the ark (1 Peter 3:20). A friend of mine’s and I discuss the topic from time to time. She stated:
“There were “good” people in Noah’s day. They lost themselves within the festivities of life…There were probably people who were interested in what Noah was preaching, but they felt they had time to get back to Noah (Matthew 24:37-39). Can you imagine how real the situation became to them when the rain began and didn’t stop?”
Dear people aren’t we faced with the same situation now?! In Matthew 24:37-39, it compares Noah’s day to the Coming of the Son of Man. People are so blinded and distracted with life until time is expiring. People make plans all the time, but their Heavenly investments are lacking—Starving!
Why aren’t we taking into consideration only “8” people survived that catastrophe?! One family! Only one family was ready to obey Jehovah and their lives were spared. People were too busy being lost in the world and the day came upon them and they lost their lives. Do we see the connection within this matter? Being Ready to obey–God spoke–Noah obeyed. Do you see the power of obedience? Noah spent 40-50 years working on the ark (his family and he)–They were spared. The people and their plans were destroyed. Jehovah had given the people chance to have a change of heart. That’s what He’s doing now–Giving the people a chance to find the straight and narrow. (2 Peter 3:9) He’s being patient with us because He doesn’t want anyone to miss out on His kingdom.
Use your time wisely and pray for the “true gospel”. (James 1:5) Become doers of the word (James 1:22-25). Spread the true gospel. Take part in the ministry of spreading the word. Allow Christ to live within you and you won’t be distracted by the world. You have a job to do each day that will stack your treasures in Heaven. That’s making wise use of your time–Spreading the true gospel. Every doctrine doesn’t come from our Father in Heaven. If you ask, it shall be given. Remember, Satan is still out here portraying he’s an angel of light–Don’t be distracted. (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)
Stay Blessed
