On average, what is the battery life of your phone?
How concerned are you about the battery life of your phone?
Why are you so concerned about the battery life of your phone?
How often do you check the percentage of battery life of your phone?
Would you go a day without charging your phone?
Before you go to bed, do you check your phone’s battery life or automatically place it on the charger?
The point I’m trying to relate–>People highly prioritize their phone’s battery life. Why? We deem it as vital. Vital for what? Survival and entertainment: If we have car trouble (most of us) are going to do what? Reach out and call someone. If we’re not feeling well and we’re some place, we’re going to reach out and call someone, right? If you’re waiting at an appointment (to occupy your time) you’re going to do what? Pull out your phone and scroll, scroll, scroll, right? Why isn’t spiritual life deemed as a priority like our phones? We don’t plan to go anywhere without our phones. If we discover we have left our phones, we could have made it to our destination (if it’s not too far) we’re going to turn back, right? Why isn’t spiritual life viewed the same? Just as you feel you can’t do without your phone, can you do without God? Whether people want to face it or not–We cannot survive without Jehovah.
Who is God? The creator of all things (Colossians 1:16)
God is our creator–He knows all about us. The manufacturer knows how to take care of its product. When you purchase a product, instructions is included. The Bible is available for our welfare. The Bible provides instruction, answer questions, and provides comfort (2 Timothy 3:16) (Romans 15:4)
As believers, we should ensure we’re disciplining our spiritual life daily. A marathon runner has to do what? Train. Become conditioned. Keep the body well maintained if they plan to continue as a marathon runner. Just as we prioritize the battery life of our phones, we should constantly check the battery life of our spiritual life.

If you tune in to most tv shows and movies today, there’s a trending theme–Zombies. There’s this what if of a zombie apocalypse one day happening. I was once asked: “Would you know what to do in the event of a zombie apocalypse?” This particular person seems to be a fan of such types of entertainment (from tv shows, movies, to video games). We must be mindful of what our eyes continuously see (that’s another post for another day). But anyway, is a zombie apocalypse possible? We’re living in one as we speak. No, the dead will not rise and walk around gorging on living flesh (Ecclesiastes 9:5). I call the spiritually dead–“Zombies”. If the dead is existing in some parallel universe or Heaven, would we need the Resurrection? Why did Jehovah provide evidence of the first Resurrection in the Bible? In order for things to come back to life they have to be resurrected? Jesus is proof of the resurrection and this serves as an example to us that when the day comes–We will be resurrected (John 5:28-29). Until then, the dead is nonexistent. A spiritual mentor used the parable that Jesus told about Lazarus and the rich man as evidence that the dead continue to live after death (Remember this was a parable; parables are illustrations that deliver life’s lessons).
Are you a zombie?
What’s the percentage of the battery life on your spiritual life?
Loving God is living according to His standards. He is our manufacturer. He knows all about us. He knows what’s best for us. Yet, He doesn’t force Himself upon us. He created us all to have free will (Joshua 24:15). There’s a day that will come and those who have sown the seeds will reap the benefits of God’s Kingdom. God’s Kingdom will wipe every tear from our eyes and death will be no more (Revelation 21:4). None of the things that caused us heartache and stress will be no more. Our bodies will become youthful again. No poverty. There won’t be any need for hospitals, doctors, or wondering if what you’re eating is real or a catfish. Can you picture that? Just close your eyes and picture what I just mentioned.
Prioritize the battery life of your spiritual life.
Become educated about the truth. Remember, Jesus said: “The truth will set your free” (John 8:31-32) and always remember what the lie of Satan caused us–Death (Genesis 3).
The Bible is the avenue to finding the truth. There are Bible-based publications found at jw.org to help you gain better comprehension of the Bible.
Focus and Stay Blessed
